Thermometer Calibrations:
Calibrations were completed as a means of insuring accurate, consistent, measurements. Two types of thermometers were calibrated by creating an ice-water slush. The thermometers were individually numbered. A thermometer, when inserted into bath should read 0 _C, which is the freezing/melting point of water. Deviations were noted and recorded in the tables above. These measurements were accounted for when thermometers were used in the weeks experiments. |
