TEAM PREPARES MAGPLANE FOR LAUNCH

The team has begun preparing the area around Puerto Araona and the MAGPLANE itself for launch on Wednesday. This morning a large chunk of timber was dragged across the landing strip to smooth the surface and the labor continued well into the evening as members of the team got down on their hands and knees to pull out small tufts of grass that were peppered throughout the runway. If the small plane got snagged on some of this grass the MAGPLANE mission could end before it ever got into the air.

WEBCAST TOMORROW AT 11AM EST

The rescheduled webcast will go ahead as planned tomorrow. It will follow a similar format to the previous broadcasts and feature Peter Hardy. The subject of the webcast will be a preliminary discussion of what we plan to do with the Vernier probes and what we plan to accomplish with these tools.
